Answer :
Today, high medical technologies solve many aging problems. In this regard, it is often argued that it will be meaningful to live for a hundred years and more. I also agree with this statement although there are some opponents. In this essay, I will discuss both views and my opinion.
The increasing population of old people will lead to an another medical problem in the future. More people can live longer, but the number of doctors will not change. This lack of the medical workforce only benefits some privileged patients. This is definitely a problem since having more years to live does not always mean maintaining a healthy life. Aged people are susceptible to illness, and future populations will also have the same weaknesses.
Meanwhile, it can be worth living more than a hundred years because it increases chances to achieve dreams and make history. People all know that success is a result of the investment of one’s life and it takes time to finally live a long dreamed future. Because of this demand of time, sometimes it only happens in the imagination. However, nothing will be impossible for people today, whether they are old or sick.
In conclusion, it is encouraging for people to live over a hundred years. This is because they can do more while living and see them happening.
