Education plays a vital role in child development and is responsible to offer children proper learning. In this regard, it is often argued that difficult subjects such as mathematics and philosophy should not be compulsory. However, others think that they should. I also agree with them and will discuss the reasons in this essay.
Mathematics can feel difficult but is a basic skill to learn more in the future. Actually, there are many related subjects to it such as Engineering and Physics, and without the knowledge and skills related to mathematics, students will not be able to succeed in those classes as they are growing up to be professionals after graduating. Learning them as early as possible will determine their competence. Thus, mathematics as a subject should be selected by more pupils.
Philosophy is also the subject that all young students have to learn to be a wiser person. It is true that it has many difficult topics to deal with at such an early age, but there are many wise teachers who can translate philosophy into easy science and teach. Moreover, this subject stimulates the basic human nature to thrive and enables the young to live without the help of the adults any more. They will never be bored and disengaged.
