 Even though there are several drawbacks to media, I think media has more pros than cons.

 

 If we spend too much time watching content from media and are reluctant to create unique ideas, then media could be considered to weaken creativity. However, the way how we use media is the key issue, not media itself. We generally think that creativity is the ability to make something novel, but there is nothing completely new. The concept of creativity is reorganizing the pieces of known information in a new way. If the product of reorganization is useful, practically or emotionally, for some people, then we could say it is creative. Since we can access various information and contents through media these days, those could be a fundamental basis for creativity.

 

 Moreover, besides the impact on creativity, media can be a useful tool for us to understand our society more. We, as the owner of the nation in a democratic society, have to pay attention to the news around us, and media has a crucial role in doing this, but we need to have critical viewpoints, when interpreting news from media, rather than just accepting it.

 

 To sum up, the media could be a good source of creativity and help us to understand our society better, so underestimating the role of media is hard to accept.
