' Family structure change ' issue

In recent years, the family structure has changed, as well as family roles. What are the changes occurring? Do you think these changes are positive or negative? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

 

Anawer : 

 

It is true that the family structure and family roles have changed due to science development which has affected the way of our life. Some people claim that these phenomenons may lead to end up the bad situation like a collapse of tradition or leaving our children without care. However, there is a more persuasive argument that this change can offer us more choices of what can we do and even enrich our life.

 

On the one hand, people who argue that changes of family structure is a consequence to us may say that children growing in the present family would not know the value of the family, compared to the past when people grew up in a big family. It can lead to the less developed sociality respecting the elder because of the not enough time hanging out with them. Besides, nowadays children could not develop their personality and sociality since their parents both father and mother work. To improve and build well that, children need more and more time to being taken care.

 

Nevertheless, I support the idea that the changes of family structure and roles can enrich the our life and allow us to get more opportunity. The society in the middle age was limited to a local area and the most time that children spent with their family was working for the family's farm. Since the period of the industry revolution, however, thousands of jobs have appeared and been created, and the current society offers more options regarding what people want to be in the future and service such as finding work interest and lesson of respecting other culture and society which children have to learn. These is not only for the local area, but for the globalized society.

 

To sum up, it is clear that our family structure and family roles has changed and some may affect in negative ways, but it is deniable that we can take more options and service, compared to the past.
