' Some people think that to learn a second language well it is necessary to live in the country where that language is spoken' issue

Topic :

Some people think that to learn a second language well it is necessary to live in the country where that language is spoken. What is your opinion about this?

Answer :

The demand of learning languages is increasing. Some people believe that staying in a country and learning their language is the most satisfying way, while others think that it is not the best idea to obtain a second language. I agree that actually being in the nation will help people be bilingual. In this essay, I will discuss why.

Language learning cannot be completed without understanding of culture behind. Learners should consider the context in a speaking situation before they care how to speak. They can do this much more easily when they live in the language spoken country because a whole cultural context is directly reflected on the language. People living there will be able to learn the language more naturally without additional efforts for theoretical understanding of language.

Being in a specific language spoken culture can also open possibilities of genuine communication. Language is made for mutual communication between humans in the society, not for books in the library. Living in the same country and speaking in the same language will strengthen uman relationships because it means that people genuinely live the moment together. Speaking in someone’s language might mean being invited to their world. Thus where they are should be the person’s country to perfect their time.

Furthermore, there might be even more chances to learn a language in a country. People need to go there in person and get the best chance. Different people have different learning styles, but most learning materials provided to them in their countries are usually made not considering this. What is the best for some can be not for others. Each individuals should discover what they need the most. Without living in the country, they will never know what they are missing.

In conclusion, language learners should be more involved in a country that speaks the language. The more they are, the more learning opportunities they will have. Living in one consistent culture of people will make them more fluent speakers as well as better human beings.
