Many companies use advertisements to increase their sales. What are the main factors that make an advertisement effective? Is advertising a good thing or a bad thing for society?

 

 

Answer : 

 

There are many advertisements that are focusing solely on increasing sales. However, this is not what they really have to do to make a better society. When companies put human factors first, their marketing will work more positively.

 

Theoretically in advertising and selling, it is important to trigger people to feel and act. People buy something when they feel necessity. Ads should make sure that their feeling and their action of purchasing are consistently and continuously connected. Thus marketing productions and the client organisations first have to have strong marketing strategies regarding the behavioral pattern of customers to successfully instill their brand image in public.

 

Today in society, the role of advertisement will become more important because their job is to make a reality a better reality. However, now people live two realities, a virtual one and a real one. This means that there are not many things to do for this complexed world and that they have to care more about one individual. If they use their understandings of humans, they will be able to prevent real people in real reality from being virtual people in virtual reality.

 

For example, a good advertisement changed behaviours of people and their well beings. A school dietitian company once made a new poster with daily menus on it for students. What made it effective was the name of meals. It was named after a popular television programme about home cooking that students always watched with smartphones while eating lunch. They were often distracted and could not eat all foods, but this successful poster ads solved this problem. This was possible because the company had understanding of the students and their needs for being a part of the warm family in the programme.

 

In conclusion, advertisements have a positive impact on society. They can react and respond quickly to changes in society, and this enables them to have greater understandings on humans and improve the real life of people.
