' Increasing amount of garbage (waste) ' issue

Topic :

Nowadays the increasing amount of garbage (waste) is a real concern. Why is this happening?
What can be done to resolve this?

Answer :

It has become easy to make a product and to get one. In this regard, it is often seen that products lose its value through mass production and are thrown away carelessly. In this essay, I will argue causes and solutions to this problem.

Today, many people like never used items and want to be the first users of them. This is common as it can be seen from unboxing videos that go viral shortly after being posted online. It is now a genre, and more people acknowledge that unboxing is an interesting story and are obsessed with buying new goods. These growing demands justify excessive packaging materials that consumers will consume anyway whatever it is inside.

In order to solve problems of mass consumption and waste products, the government should restrain in the first place the use of disposable products. This will be more effective if they focus on shops that have many shoppers. For example, they can prevent popular local coffee shops from using single used cups and wrappers or can even encourage the visitors to use their own items when they order what they want.

In conclusion, people value new products more than good old ones, and the amount of disposables is increasing. The government should regulate its purchasing where possible, and individuals should also stop making their purchase which are currently being constantly made.
