Topic :

Some people think that competitive sports should be included as a subject in school, while others believe that it has negative effect on children.
Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Answer :

Today, sports at schools are as important as academic subjects for success of students. In this regard, it is often argued that schools should promote more competitive activities in class. However, opponents of this statement say that early competition does not help development of children. In this essay, I will discuss both views and my opinion.

School sports can lead to confidence issues amongst juniors. There are only a few performers in a class who excel at physical activities and are likely to be top players. Forcefully being put in a position against them will be exhausting for the rest of the pupils who can never get used to outdoor sessions. Moreover, other students can grow stronger than those who are the biggest. However, playing and losing games sometimes makes them forget this fact and be frustrated.

However, there is also an advantage of team sports in class. If students without fitness excellence enjoy activities, it must be because they do not have to play alone on the ground. Playing with a team is incomparably motivating than doing so alone. They can feel less worry about losing games and enjoy them for its own sake. This sportsmanship will help children in the future when they are frustrated again because of trivial obstacles that hinder them from success.

In conclusion, challenging sports should frequently be scheduled for growing schoolchildren. This is because the experience of playing together with other people will make them resilient about something unwanted and further, life obstacles in their future.
