The table below shows the sales at a small restaurant in a downtown business district.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Answer :
The table gives information about the earnings of a restaurant in a downtown business district during the week of October 7th(Mon) to 13th(Sun), which is divided into lunch and dinner. Overall, the sales on dinner were consistently higher than those on lunch.
As it can clearly be seen, people tend to eat out more on weekdays than on weekends. The average sales for lunch during the weekdays was around 2,500 dollars, while the average amount of money that the restaurant made on Saturday and Sunday was around 1,700 dollars.
The same trend was seen on the sales of dinner as well, with an exception for Friday. It is clear that people spent money the most on Friday night at 4,350 dollars, which is the biggest amount of money that people spent at the restaurant during the week. Similar to the trend of the sales rate on lunch, people didn’t spend much money for dinner on 12th and 13th, although the figures were nearly 1,000 dollars more than the sales for lunch on the same days.
